The Nordic House kit introduces simple architectural carving through compact cottages with pitched roofs and softly faceted walls. Start by establishing the roofline, then refine the sides and add shallow door and window details as your confidence develops.

Two different blank sizes let you create a varied display rather than two identical houses. The visual style is intentionally restrained: clean roof planes, small carved openings, and natural wood grain. You can leave the pieces unfinished for a workshop look or add your own decorative finish.

📦 What’s included: One 1.5-inch carving knife, one blade sleeve, one approximately 4 × 1.5 × 1.5-inch basswood blank, one approximately 3 × 1.5 × 1.5-inch blank, six sanding sheets, and one printed guide.

Specifications: Carbon-steel blade; beech handle; unfinished basswood. Decorative details are carved by the customer. Paint, lights, hanging hardware, and finishes are not included. Finished pieces are not toys or candle holders.

Before your next session

For adult hobby use, ages 18+. Cutting tools have sharp edges. Read the instructions before use, secure the workpiece as appropriate, and keep hands out of the cutting path. Use suitable protective equipment and keep tools away from children.
